Description

Assist solicitors in managing a caseload of private client matters from instruction through to completion.

Draft legal documents, including wills, LPAs, trust deeds, and estate administration papers.

Prepare inheritance tax forms and applications for grants of probate and letters of administration.

Conduct legal research and liaise with HMRC, the Probate Registry, and other third parties.

Maintain accurate file management and compliance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements.

Communicate effectively with clients, beneficiaries, executors, and other stakeholders.

Arrange client meetings, attend note-taking, and assist with file opening and billing processes.

Support with the administration of trusts and estates, including asset collection, valuation, and distribution.

Contribute to business development activities and maintain client relationships.
Profile

Previous experience working in a Private Client department (essential).

Strong knowledge of wills, probate, LPAs, and trusts (essential).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple files.

Competent IT skills, including familiarity with case management systems and Microsoft Office.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
