Fitter (dayshift) – Inverness, UK (Permanent Role)

Our client based in Inverness has an exciting opportunity available to join their busy Team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain and service production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and rectify breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to improve machinery efficiency.
• Document maintenance activities and report any issues to management.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Working week is Monday to Friday with occasional overtime.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role within a factory/production environment.
• Qualified to HND or City & Guilds standard or qualified by experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
