Job Description
Overview
We have been exclusively engaged to identify a Security and Network Architect for a leading organisation in Adelaide North. This is a six month contract with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent. Office-based 5 days a week, or 2 days work-from-home and 3 days in the office.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage the organisation’s cyber security programme to address current and emerging threats
- Design and maintain security and network architecture frameworks
- Create secure network topologies including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls and cloud solutions
- Conduct risk assessments and threat modelling to identify vulnerabilities
- Recommend and oversee implementation of mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with Essential 8 Level 2, NIST and other relevant standards
- Coordinate cyber incident response planning and participate in investigations
Requirements
- Proven experience in cyber security management and network architecture
- Hands-on expertise with LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall, cloud networking, IDS/IPS, SD-WAN and SIEM
- Experience conducting risk assessments and threat modelling
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks including Essential 8 Level 2 and NIST
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, with vendor security certifications preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
