HIAB RATE £19.00 PH

C2 BASIC- £16.25 PH

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and reliable Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our team in the Central Belt. This role involves transporting timber goods locally and regionally, with opportunities for HIAB (remote grab) operations. Drivers must have at least 5 months proven experience driving Class 2 vehicles. Safety, professionalism, and reliability are key.

Key Duties

• Operate Class 2 vehicles (flatbed & HIAB with remote grab) safely and efficiently.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip checks to ensure load and road safety.
• Load and unload timber/steel products, securing loads properly.
• Carry out HIAB operations for timber deliveries where required.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, tachograph records, and delivery paperwork.
• Follow all road safety regulations and site protocols.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, yard staff, and customers.
• Represent the company with professionalism at every drop.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
• HIAB (remote grab) certification essential for HIAB shifts
• CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Tachograph (Tacho) card
• Minimum 5 months Class 2 driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, or IN convictions)
• Experience transporting timber or steel loads preferred
• Physically fit manual handling & securing loads required
• Reliable, adaptable, and safety-conscious
• Able to work varied and long shifts as required
